Assignment 1 Part II

Sketches and Works #1 August 24-August 28, 2009

I decided to start this blog with ships!(flying or on the water) All work I post will be stuff I have made, colored works are drawn on Adobe Photoshop. I always liked fantasy airships... tho from a design standpoint its more like a equation! (always add more cannons you can never have too little guns)

1. Nabradius Ironclad: A concept small sized steampunkish ironclad destroyer. Has 8 small side cannons on its hull, 8 minor turrets on its side and 2 heavy pivoting guns on top with a front ramming spike. It is powered by steam. Its main weakness is attacks from behind due to its exposed and unarmored back though it makes it up with speed compared to heavier ironclads.

2. Crash Landing: A quick Photoshop sketch I did recently on some ruins of a ship in a landscape. Undergrowth has started to grow on it showing signs that it has been there for a long time.

3. Dromidian Empire: Hail to the empire! Fantasy industrial steampunk setting. The city is run heavily on furnace technology and airships are common. Flying over the city is a heavy dreadnought class battlecruiser.
